Companies to Consider

Dear Friends,

We are always thankful for our first responder, volunteers, and downright awesome humans who put their lives on the line for so many people but this page is not for thanking them, its for thanking the businesses.  I have created this page to highlight companies/businesses that have gone above and beyond the call of duty during the Hurricane Harvey disaster.  When shopping for anything, I hope you will consider purchasing from one of these companies.

Anheuser-Busch – Beer Manufacturer – Turned their Houston area beer plants into water canning plants to provide water to those that need it.

Buc-ees – Convenience Store – Opened their doors to feed first responders for free.

Equine Express – Horse Shipping – They loaded up their rigs with hay, feed, and shavings from the DFW area and brought it down to Houston.

Ft. Bend Saddlery – Tack Repair – Offering $100 of free saddle/tack/boot repair to all individuals directly affected by Hurricane Harvey

Gallery Furniture – Furniture Store – They opened their stores to house refugees.  They were one of the first shelters to respond, they housed about 2000 people.

HEB –  Groceries – Where to start with these guys, they set up a mobile kitchen in major disaster zones to provide hot meals for the people there, they opened their stores as soon as possible, they sent numerous response teams, donated tons of food and supplies, there were even folks making fresh tortillas at my HEB since there was no bread or tortillas, with a smile on their face.

Hilton Furniture – This guy was a hidden hero, not much press on him but he sent his furniture trucks and guys out, including himself into the rain and flood waters to pull people out.  They also collected and donated supplies.  They are also offering discounts to all affected by the disaster.

Houston Dressage Society (HDS) – They put forth a tremendous effort to help assist rescues, organized hay deliveries and distribution, provided numerous updates and made a massive list of safe stalls to help those in need, the little organization that could!

James Avery – Jewelry – Donating proceeds for the purchase of their Deep in the Heart of Texas silver charm through September.

Nutrena Feed – Horse and livestock feed – They arrived at one of the equine refugee sites with a semi-truckload of feed.

Offset Kustoms – Custom truck mods – They drove their lifted truck into the flood waters to rescue people after their own house flooded.

Purina – Horse and livestock feed and pet food – Donated a truckload of food to Habitat for Horses with enough for them to share with other rescues and efforts.  They are also working with the The Animal Rescue Site to provide food for all of the misplaced pets.

Revolver Brewing – Beer – Sent a truck convoy with gas cans headed into Houston

Steinhausers – Feed Store – Organizing feed and supplies from Colorado to remain open to provide for anyone in need.

Tuscan Garden’s – Wedding Venue – Providing hot meals to everyone.  Located in Field Store TX (Waller Area)
